The Myanmar military regime held a ceremony at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon to mark the 79th Martyrs’ Day, which took place under intense surveillance. The son of jailed State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi also sharply criticized the regime, linking it to colonial-era fascists.
